Assignment: Write a thesis-driven essay that discusses the different theories of personality and/or identity.

Feel free to use the following questions as a starting point for your research:

  1. What are the differences between the theories and/or studies?
  2. How valid are these theories? What problems/gaps might there be?
  3. What makes us want to believe or buy into these theories regardless of their validity?
  4. What values or attitudes do we assign to different personality traits? Why do these exist? Do culture and gender influence this?

Assignment Requirements:

  • Separate Work Cited page, using at least 5 credible sources—not including general dictionaries or encyclopedias
  • Use standard MLA formatting and citations
