MUS 5 - Music Online: Jazz

Option 1: Click here to start using Music Online.

• Under the Music Online banner, click on the drop down menu.
• Choose Jazz Music Library.

Option 2: Click here to start using Jazz Music Library, a subset of Music Online. 

Option 3: To find Music Online on the LPC Library Homepage.

• From the right column FIND, choose "Audio, Video, and Images".
• Scroll down to Music Online or choose Jazz Music Library.

There are multiple ways to find Jazz recordings.  Below are 2 methods to get you started:

Option 1 - Browsing the Jazz Music Library

 You can Browse by clicking on any number of options such as genre, song title, or instrument.

Pick any song track that interests you.

Caution:  Many albums may be compilations that contain all types of music.  Click on the song title to see detailed information to be sure that the selected song matches your assignment requirements.

Option 2 - Searching the Jazz Music Library

In the search box located on the uper right, type in your keyword(s).

For example you can search by sub-genre, artist, composer, song title, etc. 

Look through your textbook or class notes for ideas of other keywords.

Sample keywords: 

• Big Band
• West Coast Jazz
• John Coltrane
• Scat singing
• Xylophone
