Call Numbers
The LPC Library, like most academic libraries, uses the Library of Congress classification system (LC).
Books on the history of the United States have a call # starting with a E and within the E's books about African Americans have call numbers of E 185.
You might also see other call numbers depending on the subject area. For example, books on jazz will be the music section (M) or desegregation in the law section (KF).
