Call Numbers

The LPC Library, like most academic libraries, uses the Library of Congress classification system (LC). 

Books on the history of the United States have a call # starting with a E and within the E's books about African Americans have call numbers of E 185

You might also see other call numbers depending on the subject area.  For example, books on jazz will be the music section (M) or desegregation in the law section (KF).
