ESL 121A (Taleb-Agha/Payne): Magazine & Journal Articles

Why Do I Need to Log In for Off-Campus Access?

LPC Library provides access to a variety of online resources, including databases, eBooks, and academic journals, through paid subscriptions. These resources are restricted to LPC students, faculty, and staff, which means you must authenticate as an LPC student to use them off campus.

How to Log In for Off-Campus Access

Option 1: Logging into Library Resources

  1. Click on a database, eBook, or article link through the LPC Library's databases page or online items in OneSearch.
  2. Log in with your LPC WID and My Portal password through MyPortal authentication.
    • Not sure what your MyPortal password is? See below (or link here) for my MyPortal account information.

💡 If this does not work or you encounter an error, try Option 2 below.

Option 2: Log in to MyPortal First (Recommended for Troubleshooting)

  1. Go to MyPortal.
  2. Enter your LPC WID and MyPortal password.
    • This is the same login you use for Degree Works, but different than ClassWeb or Canvas.
    • If you have a saved password, try searching for "OKTA" in your password manager.
  3. Once logged in, return to the LPC Library resource and click to access the database, eBook, or other online resource.

Magazine Articles in Library Databases
