JSTOR at SFPL

The San Francisco Public Library provides access to many magazine and academic journal databases, including JSTOR.  JSTOR has the full-text of many journals useful for the research of animals and animal behavior.  In order to access JSTOR and other SFPL databases remotely, you need a SFPL library card and PIN.

Local Libraries with Zoology Collections

Link+ - This is a consortium of California and Nevada public and academic libraries.  Members of any of the participating libraries may request items from other libraries in Link+.  Local libraries include Livermore Public, Alameda County (Dublin Branch), and Pleasanton Public.

Cal State University, East Bay - Search the library collections for books on your topic.  LPC students are granted permission to check books from CSUEB.  Present your LPC student ID card with current registration sticker at the CSUEB Library circulation desk.  All CSUEB policies must be observed to maintain borrowing privileges. 

MELVYL: The Catalog of the University of California Libraries - The Melvyl catalog contains records for materials (books, journals, movies, maps, music scores and recordings, computer files, dissertations, government documents, etc.) held by the libraries of the ten UC campuses, the California State Library, Hastings College of the Law, the California Academy of Sciences, the California Historical Society, the Center for Research Libraries, the Graduate Theological Union, and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
