The Las Positas College Library uses Library of Congress (LC) Call Numbers to organize the materials on the library shelves. This system of LC call numbers allows our library, and other college libraries to shelve books by subjects. This means that books with similar subjects will be in the same area on the library shelves even in different libraries that use the LC call number system.
To browse books on a particular subject, use the letters at the beginning of the call numbers. Use the list to the right to find the letters for subject you need and the go to the corresponding location in the library to browse books that are on that subject.
