Welcome to the Women & U.S. Culture Library Research Guide! 

This Guide for HISTORY 32 will provide information and resources necessary to complete the assignments. Refer to Dr Bengiveno's syllabus for complete instructions on the assignment. Any questions should be direct to Dr Bengiveno during class or her office hours.

 

 

Symposium Assignment

SYMPOSIUMS  

This semester each of you will research ONE of the following topics under the Bold categories. There will be four components to this assignment:  Annotation Assignment, Abstract, Annotated Bibliography, and PowerPoint Presentation. See Module Assignment in Canvas for due dates.  NO WIKIPEDIA SOURCES ALLOWED. You should stay away from encyclopedias since they are not academic sources. ​There will be a Library Orientation for the Symposium.

100 points possible. See Module for point breakdown. Your annotated bibliography must include a minimum of ten sources; a variety of sources including books, journal articles, and no more than five internet sources (of the ten).  The annotations should be several sentences to a paragraph in length per bibliographic citation.  Interviews are also acceptable as sources when appropriate.
